    Lahore is an upcoming Hindi-language periodaction film directed by Rajkumar Santoshi and produced by Aamir Khan. Set against the backdrop of the partition of India in , the film stars Sunny Deol and Preity Zinta.[2][3] This film will mark the comeback of Preity Zinta after a 7-year hiatus.

    The film's music composed is by A. R. Rahman.

    Based on Asghar Wajahat's play Jis Lahore Nai Dekhya O Jamyai Ni' (“One who has not seen Lahore has not been born”),[4] the film went on floors in February and was completed by August [5] Initially planned to release on 26 January , it is now pushed to June due to post-production works.[6][4]

    Plot

    Lahore is set during the partition of India in and follows the story of a Muslim family that migrates from Lucknow to Lahore.

    Upon their arrival, they are allocated a haveli (mansion) that was vacated by a Hindu family fleeing the area due to the partition. The plot thickens when the family discovers an elderly Hindu woman still residing in the haveli. This unexpected encounter leads to rising tensions and complex emotional dynamics as the characters navigate their new reality amidst the backdrop of one of the most tumultuous periods in Indian history.[5]

    The film is directed by Rajkumar Santoshi and produced by Aamir Khan under the banner of Aamir Khan Productions.

    The production of the film involved extensive research to accurately depict the historical period of the partition. The sets were meticulously designed to recreate the streets and atmosphere of Lahore during the s. The film marks the reunion of Rajkumar Santoshi with Aamir Khan and Sunny Deol, who have previously collaborated on successful projects.[7]

    Soundtrack

    The music for Lahore is composed by A.

    R. Rahman, with lyrics penned by Javed Akhtar.[11]
